Are there any Zenkit coupon codes or promo discount vouchers?

We searched online, and it seems that there aren’t any Zenkit discount vouchers or coupon codes at this time.

Zenkit free vs paid: what’s the difference?

The Zenkit free plan is a personal plan and is good for up to 3 users. It gets users a max of 3 projects and 1,000 tasks. In contrast, the cheapest of the paid plans is good for up to 50 team members and gets you 80 projects and 80,000 tasks.

When it comes to the most expensive of the paid plans, this is where you get advanced tools like identification management, custom API limits, and dedicated success management.

Zenkit overview: what is Zenkit & what is Zenkit used for?

The Zenkit total solution is divided between several distinct platforms that can all be used together.

There’s Zenkit Projects, which is your basic project management software, Zenkit To Do for simpler task management, and Zenchat for communication and task collaboration. Meanwhile Zenkit Hypernotes allows you to do knowledge sharing. Zenkit Base is for digital transformation, and Zenforms is for forms and surveys.

The Zenkit suite is the combination of these.

1. Kanban boards

With Zenkit Projects you get what they call global Kanban boards. These are like jacked-up versions of basic Kanbans and much more powerful than those like Trello.

What makes this a global Kanban tool is that you can aggregate all the data for every task for your entire portfolio of ongoing projects into a single overview. Drag and drop is the way to go here.

2. Views and dashboards

While the global Kanban board is central to Zenkit Projects, you are not limited to this, but you get multiple views. Switching between dashboards is easy. The options you get here are table views, Kanban boards, Gantt charts, list views, mindmap features, and calendar views.

3. Advanced Gantt charts

Gantt charts are useful for laying out task dependencies, where the team can see which tasks must be finished before others can be started.

Zenkit Projects lets you arrange task dependencies on Gantt charts based on different dependency types, like start-start, start-finish, finish-start, and finish-finish.

4. Tasks, to-dos and checklists

You get a team task management dashboard with Zenkit Projects. It lets you see what task is assigned to which team member, and you can also instantly create tasks here.

From there, you can turn any project or task into a to-do list of subtasks, and you can then go through this checklist and mark items as done when they are completed. This to-do feature is superior to the now-defunct Wunderlist which was replaced with Microsoft To Do.

5. Resource planning

Project managers need to always have a good idea of their available resources when delegating tasks for a project, especially with that most important resource: human time and energy.

Zenkit Projects has special dashboards to show you how big of a workload each team member has, and who might have more availability when new tasks come in.

6. Notifications

Setting up automatic notification functionality is very efficient when running your project management. You can get notifications based on triggers like upcoming meetings you must attend, or fast-approaching due dates for tasks that need to be prioritized.

7. File sharing

Working on a project as a team means everyone must have the same and the most up-to-date documents. Zenkit Projects makes file sharing and collaborating quite simple. As a project management tool, you can upload files, images, and other media from your desktop or from the cloud.

8. Collaboration

With Zenkit Projects, you can collaborate with your team members in real-time, meaning you don’t need to wait for back-and-forth emails to keep the project ball rolling.

You can also use this platform to collaborate via invitation with outside parties like clients, freelancers and other colleagues.

9. Activity tracking

This is another useful real-time feature for project management from Zenkit. You can see everything that’s going on at the individual level, team level or project level, and easily search back in the timeline archives for past referencing.

10. Labels and filters

You can create custom fields for labels to stay organized with your items, tasks and activities. Labels can be used to set up the stages of project progress or assign priority levels.

Then, using Zenkit advanced filters, you can search at the more detailed level quickly and save your filtered searches. You can also use a tool to mark favorite items.

11. Recurring tasks

With Zenkit Projects, you can arrange workflow type actions for tasks and items that will recur regularly, thereby saving workers’ time from these repetitive tasks. Zenkit makes this easy to set up with basic repeater-rules.

There are even templates you can use and customize for these recurring tasks.

12. Comments and mentions

Team collaboration and communication is streamlined when you use @-mentions to bring your colleagues into any conversation about a task or project.

This will automatically notify them with a ping. Adding comments and notes to items is another way to stay organized without getting too complicated.

13. Roles and permissions

A project manager can assign different access roles and permission levels for all involved in a  project. Typical roles include who can view tasks versus who can actively edit them.

This is also useful for cueing in outside stakeholders like clients who might want visibility but should not be allowed to meddle.

14. Analytics and reporting

Every completed task and project produces valuable insights which can then be used for planning future projects. Zenkit Project has great-looking reporting dashboards with metrics for things like risks and opportunities.

15. Forms with Zenforms

With Zenkit, you get the best features for forms with the Zenforms platform, or use Zenforms as part of the greater Zenkit Suite. You get multi-level forms and sub-forms, and you can make full-page forms or embed them on other web pages.

Forms can also capture some data like email addresses and automatically add these to your CRM list.

16. Chat with Zenchat

Like with Zenforms, you get the most advanced Zenkit communication tools with their Zenchat platform, which is also part of their Zenkit Suite. Zenchat combines messaging with simple task creation and management.

You can organize chats into topics which makes for a less cluttered chat experience, as well as get bird’s eye perspectives on all a topic’s mini messages.

17. Calendar syncing

You can sync up your Zenkit solution with your other calendar apps, like Google Calendar. With this Google Calendar integration, all data from one platform gets automatically added to the other in real-time.

18. Bulk actions

Bulk actions are a great way to get a lot done with minimal mouse-clicking and typing labor. You can edit multiple fields at once, as well as add, remove or replace the values of your fields.

19. Workspaces with Zenkit Base

With Zenkit Base, you can set up digital workspaces for teams to work together in a more streamlined fashion. Workspaces are collections of items like projects, sub-projects, tasks and sub-tasks, but also for teams, departments or companies.

20. Mobile version

In addition to web apps and desktop apps for Windows, macOS and Linux, there are mobile apps by Zenkit for the Zenkit Project and other tools in the Zenkit Suite. These apps come in both iOS and Android versions.

The mobile apps let you see the big project portfolio picture or drill down into individual tasks. The apps are also decent communication tools.

21. Integrations

Zenkit is a project management software, and therefore, does not offer all the tools that you’d get with other business SaaS like a customer relationship management tool, or CRM.

Therefore it integrates with a range of other softwares, like Dropbox for more cloud storage, Microsoft Teams for advanced business communication, Slack for internal communication, Evernote for note-taking and archiving, as well as basic tools like Gmail and other project management tools like Asana.

If you want to use Zenkit with even more apps, you can connect it using Zapier, which will let you integrate Zenkit with other project management apps like Monday.com or Wrike. You can also use their robust API to build more tools.

Zenkit pros and cons

Here are the advantages and disadvantages of Zenkit:

Zenkit advantages

Zenkit’s division of tools and features into separate packages is very convenient for those who want just one of their platforms, like Projects or Chat or Forms.

There is a free version of all the Zenkit solutions, and the prices for the premium versions are also quite competitive.

The global views are great benefits to Zenkit, including the Global Kanban board, the Global Calendar view and the Global Search function.

Zenkit offers many pros for teamwork, including Zenchat for communication, as well as solid tagging and mentioning functionalities. There is also a good tool to set up an internal team wiki for more collaboration and knowledge sharing, and where you can even add files, videos and social media content.

The Zenkit mobile versions for iOS and Android are more advantages of using Zenkit.

Zenkit lets users do both agile project management with great Kanbans, and more classic project management that is more predictive and plan-based with Gantt charts.

Finally, Zenkit is always working on new features, which is a solid benefit to Zenkit users.

Zenkit disadvantages

Zenkit does not have many tools or features to keep track of your network. But it’s not like anyone was saying this could replace a CRM.

There are very few options to set up your own automated workflows for all manners of purposes. The best Zenkit workflows are for recurring tasks.

There is not much in the way of time tracking, timesheets and invoicing functionality with Zenkit, but at least there are good integrations with time tracking apps like Clockify.

Zenkit complaints & praise (from real Zenkit customer reviews)

Most Zenkit reviews are positive. These focus first and foremost because of the affordable pricing, along with the free version. Secondly, user reviews of Zenkit praise how user-friendly the platform is.

Other positive reviews mention how effective the views and dashboards are, how aesthetically pleasing they appear, and how simple and quick it is to switch among them.

There are very few negative reviews of Zenkit. Some Zenkit reviews that express complaints talk about the siloing of tools between the packages and the need to have to subscribe to the entire Zenkit suite.

This kind of complaint, however, is quite subjective because as mentioned above, other users like this aspect.

Review of Zenkit support

Zenkit support begins with video tutorials. These cover topics like getting started or importing your work from apps like Trello. There is also a blog with tips, for example, on how to use CSV files to migrate your data into Zenkit.

As for more advanced customer support, there is a web form on their page you can use to request more information, or you can send an email.

Then there is priority customer support for Zenkit users with the more expensive package.

Is Zenkit worth it? Our conclusion

Finally it’s time to tackle that gnawing question: Is Zenkit worth it?

If you’re looking for affordable and simpler platforms of tools for specific things like project management, Zenkit is a highly recommended solution that will add value to your team and optimize your project life cycles.

Of course there are many Zenkit alternatives on the market, worth taking a peek at before settling. But we think Zenkit does merit a spot on the “A List” in this category overall.
