After doing quite a lot of online research and reading other online reviews of Quire, it appears that, at this moment, there are no coupon codes or promotional vouchers available for Quire. If you come across one on a third-party website, please check first with Quire to see if it is valid. 

 

Quire free vs paid: what’s the difference?

Quire has a free forever plan, and that is hard to beat. Of course, there are some limitations. So, let’s take a look at them!

While the paid plans are charged by active users, the free version is only good for up to 10 team members. You also get only 16 open projects in the free plan and 1,000 tasks max per project.

The free plan offers 400 MBs of file storage with a file size cap of 3 MBs. This gets significantly better with the paid plans. 

While the free Quire plan has nested lists, sublists, and Kanban board views, it does not include Gantt charts for timelines, calendar views, or scheduling views. Other advanced tools that are lacking in the free version include time tracking, customized roles, and task start times, although you do get task due dates.

Finally, there is no priority customer support offered on the free plan.

Quire is essentially task management software. You use Quire to streamline individual and group productivity, whether for personal reasons, for a small team, or for a larger organization. Task features include task assignees so that managers can assign tasks to the best-suited rep. 

You can set task start dates and task due dates for better deadline management. Then you get task reminders to ensure you don't let one slip by you. Quire also makes it easy to set up recurring tasks. Finally, there is a feature called Peekaboo that lets you hide non-actionable tasks to keep things free of clutter so you can focus on tasks that are pressing.
 

2. Subtasks and sublists

Obviously, the ability to create sub-tasks is an important part of any task list management system, letting you break down projects into smaller manageable parts. You can get unlimited subtask levels in all Quire plans, including the free one. 

Nested task lists are a great visual dashboard to help sort projects into their sub-tasks. Task bundles is another view option to see all sub-tasks in order displayed under their parent task. 

Quire also offers a list view and sublists, and these are ideal for personalized to-do lists and to help the user focus on which tasks to do at the appropriate time.
 

3. Folders, filters and searching

To keep yourself organized, Quire has many features. Firstly, there are task folders and project folders. On top of that, there is a tool called Smart Folders for more robust viewing and organizing. 

You can also sort tasks by various factors like assignee, priority, and more. Quire lets you filter tasks as well, which is handy for a more drilled-down way to view your tasks by different metrics.
 

4. Themes and templates

Quire offers a selection of project templates. You can edit the templates and duplicate them for use on other projects. Or, if you create a project from scratch, you can turn that into a reusable and shareable template. You can also personalize your interface with colors and themes for better organization.
 

5. Kanban board

The Kanban board is ideal for teamwork and for letting project managers have clear overviews and keep track of task statuses. You get Kanban boards with the free Quire version. As an intuitive interface, Kanbans are aesthetically minimalistic, easy on the eye, and simple to use.
 

6. Timeline Gantt charts

The timeline view is very useful for project management to visualize task durations and deadlines, and Quire offers the use of a Gantt chart for this purpose. You can easily toggle your data between timelines, Kanbans, and lists. The Gantt charts are not in the free plan.

Quire has a very effective task and project time-tracking feature. Managers can easily review the time it takes for tasks to help better plan future projects. From there, useful timesheet data is synced into Quire reporting for more in-depth project analytics.

Projects are more manageable when managers can set specific roles and permission levels for each team collaborator involved in the project. There are set roles, and you can customize roles with different degrees of permission.

An important part of any project management solution is the ability to work with people or organizations outside your team. Quire's sharing feature helps you share project data with your clients via an invitation, which is highly secure. You can also share this project with the general population using a public URL.

Many projects have a lot of documents and other media associated with them. Quire allows for document management and file sharing so you can add needed attachments to tasks and projects, easily share files across your team, and upload and download with Google Drive. The free plan gets you 400 MBs of storage, but the cheapest paid plan is already at 10 GBs.

What if you are already using another project management app and want to move everything over to Quire? Well, Quire has data migration tools. This makes it relatively easy to move over all your task and project information from your old platform onto Quire.

To track project progress on the go, Quire has great mobile apps for Android and iOS devices like the iPhone or iPad. These apps even work offline. You can use them to create tasks and break them down, communicate and collaborate with your team in real time, manage your to-do list, and schedule tasks while all mobile app activity syncs to the rest of your devices.

Quire has many great Google add-ons, like a Gmail add-on, a sync to Google Calendar, and you can even use Google Assistant for task management. There is a Google Chrome extension too. Meanwhile, Quire integrates with Slack, Github, and Microsoft Teams. 

What's more, by using Zapier, you can create automation workflows between Quire and many other software solutions. Finally, Quire makes public their API, an effective way to allow developers to add more functionality within the app.

Of the many benefits of Quire, perhaps the most important one, is how easy it is to get started using it. The interface has a minimalistic design and the dashboards are intuitive. 

The next advantage to Quire is the free plan, but only so long as you are a small team of ten members or less.

Another Quire pro are the many add-ons and extensions that work with Google apps, like Drive, Calendar, Chrome, Gmail, and Google Assistant.
 

Quire disadvantages

There are fewer drawbacks to Quire than there are benefits. Perhaps one of the Quire disadvantages regards the slight confusion over nested lists and sublists, but with a bit of time, you will figure it out.

Another con to Quire regards developers who would like to create their own functionality within the app, and this is because the API access is not unlimited, but is limited by the minute or by the hour, with higher limits depending on the subscription package.

Now, onto negative reviews of Quire.
